    This advancing keyboard course develops a broader and deeper understanding of keyboard fundamentals for students already familiar with the basics. Across 12 structured weeks, learners will go beyond elementary notation as they study intervals, advanced rhythms, accidentals, major and minor scales, chord types, inversions, arpeggios, progressions, and more. 

    Emphasizing a hands-on, practical approach, each lesson integrates new theoretical concepts with varied technical exercises, activities, rhymes and a mix of Indian and international songs, fostering both skill and musical expression. 

    Week 1 - 3

    • Revision of staff notation and Middle C 
    • Treble and bass clef review 
    • Note values recap (whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth) 
    • Time signatures (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8) 
    • Simple rhythm exercises 
    • Musical expressions: dynamics and articulation 
    • Intervals and melodic patterns 

    Week 4 - 6

    • Introduction to eighth-note exercises 
    • Right-hand melody practice 
    • Simple song application 
    • Accidentals and enharmonic notes 
    • Whole tones and semitones 
    • Building basic major and minor chords 
    • Hands-together playing practice 
    • First song

    Week 7 - 9

    • Blocked chords and inversions 
    • Rhythmic variations and dotted notes 
    • Sixteenth-note exercises 
    • Smooth transition between chords 
    • Minor scales and their fingerings 
    • Second song

    Week 10 - 12

    • Chord progressions (I–IV–V–VI patterns) 
    • Introduction to arpeggios 
    • Playing arpeggios with both hands 
    • Song: Perfect 
    • Syncopation and off-beat rhythms 
    • Applying rhythm variation to songs 
    • Combining melody and harmony 
    • Performance preparation and review 
    • Third song

  • Demonstrate two-hand coordination, balancing melody and accompaniment. 
  • Interpret and perform standard staff notation accurately in pitch, rhythm, and expression. 
  • Construct major, minor, and inverted chords; apply in harmonic progressions. 
  • Execute dynamic control and articulation (staccato, legato, crescendo, decrescendo). 
  • Apply accidentals, intervals, and scales for smooth key transitions. 
  • Perform complete pieces integrating melody, harmony, rhythm, and phrasing. 
  • Maintain rhythmic precision and stylistic awareness via tempo variation and syncopation.
