Meaning
The singer addresses Kamakshi affectionately as a golden image and as his own mother. Protection is not the only request: he also asks her to speak to him, giving the prayer the closeness of a personal conversation. The charanam honours her as the beloved of Ekamreshvara and as the goddess worshipped by Syama Krishna. It then returns to the need that prompted the song—end the delay, ease the devotee's sorrow and offer a mother's care.
