Gajavadana Beduve
A prayer to Ganesha asking for the grace to keep Purandara Vitthala constantly in mind.
Purandara Dasa addresses Ganesha with a specific request: help me remember Purandara Vitthala without interruption. The brief song moves from praise to this inward prayer.

Meaning
The singer appeals to the elephant-faced son of Gauri, honoured in the three worlds and protective of good people. His noose, goad and mouse vehicle identify Ganesha. The final request is not for possessions or success: it is for loving guidance and the ability to keep the lotus-navelled Purandara Vitthala in remembrance.
Musical settings
Hamsadhwani and Dhanyasi give these same words different melodic shapes. Follow the setting used in the performance you are hearing.
