Meaning
Rama is addressed as the ornament of the Sun's dynasty and the refuge of those in distress. Tyagaraja asks him to consider his appeal with affection and to bring his suffering to an end. Praise and questioning alternate: if Rama does not protect him, who else can? The closing descriptions of divine purity and strength return to an intensely personal statement that Rama is everything to the composer.
