Meaning
Tyagaraja asks Rama why he will not answer. He has not turned to unworthy objects of worship, and he knows Rama as the delight of his heart. The closing thought changes the apparent distance between them: the Lord is not far away but already dwells in the heart's lotus. The unanswered call is therefore especially intimate, coming from someone who knows that the one addressed is close at hand.
