Meaning
Rama's firmness is compared to the great mountain Meru, but the lyric soon moves from heroic strength to the pleasure of seeing him. His graceful walk, cloud-like complexion, curls, forehead mark, shining cheeks and ornaments are lovingly noticed. The repeated invitation to come and behold him turns description into a shared act of devotion. Grandeur and affection coexist: the mighty hero is also the cherished figure before the devotee's eyes.
