Meaning
With mind and bowed head, the singer salutes Shiva as embodied nada. The song associates him with the essence of the Sama Veda and with the seven svaras arising from his five faces. These images place musical knowledge within a sacred vision of sound. The final praise also names Shiva as conqueror of death and protector of Tyagaraja, joining a wide theological picture to the composer's personal act of reverence.
