Meaning
Tyagaraja asks his mind to drink the nectar of raga and flourish in its joy. The song associates this experience with the fruits of sacrifice, yoga, renunciation and enjoyment. Its closing verse speaks of nada and Om as filled with Sadashiva, and of those who truly understand sound as liberated while living. The musical image is therefore also a spiritual one: deeply understood music becomes a mode of inward freedom.
