Meaning
Tyagaraja tells Rama that he cannot let go of his lotus feet. He seeks release from wrongdoing and asks who else can offer him support. The image of the ocean of worldly existence gives shape to his difficulty: unable to cross it alone, he comes into Rama's shelter. The final address to Sita's Lord and protector of those who seek refuge reinforces the song's steady movement from distress towards trust.
