Meaning
Tyagaraja calls to Ranganatha and asks why the Lord does not answer. The earthly Vaikuntha is glorious, yet the devotee still carries distress from life among people who cannot bear another's good fortune. He has come to see the divine form and its pearl-adorned chest. The song holds splendour and vulnerability together: the magnificence of the sacred place matters because the person arriving there longs for recognition and relief.
